WE 7-8 Feb Nourlangie Rock, Kakadu NP - leaving 7am on Saturday, and walking across the top of Nourlangie Rock; then staying in bush cabins at the Lakeview Caravan Park in Jabiru. BBQ Saturday night. Sun 13 Sept Becentennial Park Historic Walk - historian Pearl Ogden will be leading a short walk - and talking about the history and growth of the park - early Greek settlement, short war history, oil tanks and the City Council contribution to landscaping and development. Note - Walk leaders for National Parks (Kakadu, Litchfield, etc) need to apply for permits weeks or months in advance. If you are interested, contact the relevant leader early to make it easier for everyone and to avoid disappointment. However, don't register interest then drop out.
