Sunday February 23rd 4:30pm DBC Social Meeting Come and find out what the bush walking club is all about! DBC social meeting at Jingili Water gardens under the roof, near the bbq/ playground. The DBC banner will be displayed. BBQ-(sausage sandwich supplied by club) BYO drink and chair. Come at 4:30pm for a walk along Rapid Creek before the BBQ. 20/21 March Friday-Saturday Baark WalkA 6 hour circuit walk at Nourlangie Rock. A climb to great views and great art work. We will drive to Jabiru Friday 4pm and overnight in share-room cabins at Anbinik. Dinner at Kakadu Lodge. Early start Saturday morning to avoid the heat as much as possible. Return to Darwin Saturday evening. Cost is $100 for cabin and transport. Plus you need $ for dinner and snacks etc. BYO brekkie and lunch. Limited spaces. April 10th – 13th Tabletop TrackHave fun and get fit while doing your bit to help Litchfield National Park rangers, by flagging and checking the Tabletop Track before it opens. Beautiful country, good camps and swimming. Will be a bit easier than last year, but still a good workout – so join us and get fit for the dry season. New members with good fitness and some bushwalking experience are welcome, loan equipment available. Leave Darwin Thurs afternoon around 4 pm. 18-19 July Tumbling Waters Bike Ride A 7am start with a 70km+ ride to Tumbling Waters via Humpty Doo (brekky). Lunch at Darwin River Tavern. Dinner and overnight camping at Tumbling Waters caravan park. Sunday morning return cycle via Palmerston.
To come along, you must complete a Sat morning ride with the group.

July 23rd – July 26th Koolpin Creek via Freezing Gorge Leaving Thursday making our way to Koolpin base camp and start the walk Friday morning early.
Friday’s walk is long and technical, have to float pack, scale up a steep rock face and there is some rock scrambling. Only walkers with off-track and overnight experience and very limited places available.

August 7th-10th 8th Gorge, Nitmiluk National Park. Leaving Friday lunchtime, car camp the first night, then walk for 2,5 days, camping in two different spots, and drive back Monday afternoon. Includes the Jawoyn valley (rock art). It will be very hot and distances are long. It is exploratory as I haven’t done this walk before. Note – Walk leaders for National Parks (Kakadu, Litchfield, etc) need to apply for permits weeks or months in advance. If you are interested, contact the relevant leader early to make it easier for everyone and to avoid disappointment. However, please don’t register interest then drop out.
October 24th 9am – 4pm I’m ON A BOAT Social event on the Corroborree Billabong. Join us for a day cruising around on the party boat with bbq & toilet facilities.
